Psychotherapy

Your personal therapeutic journey may draw you into childhood experiences, as well as your more recent past and present circumstances. At all times your individual pace and responses will be respected within the safety of our therapeutic relationship. You will also be challenged to think and act in new ways.

Coming into therapy can be described as entering a place with many rooms occupying several floors, above and below ground, with connecting doors and corridors and various ways of moving between them. You may come with a specific concern in the here and now and over time find yourself wanting to explore more areas of this inner self  This is an opportunity to discover the source of long-standing difficulties which may be hindering your emotional and psychological well being.

'The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering’  Ben Okri'

Being accepted within this non-judgmental space, you will have the opportunity for a more open and realistic relationship with your inner and outer self, a chance to think differently about who you are and about your life. This new thinking can give rise to fresh choices and to change.
